Purpose: Recognizing that we all have things in common- helps with high stress relationships.
How many: 2 or more (even numbers best as it is played in pairs).
Get a partner you don’t know very well, find out three things in common that is not immediately obvious or that you don’t already know about them. Share these 3 things together in the group and others will say “Me too!” if what you say is true for them as well.
First round: Find three things in common that are obvious
Second round: Find three things in common that are not obvious- have to dive deeper
Last round: Find three things in common without speaking
Source: Learned this game originally from Laura Derry and/or Chris Sams.
As with all games, it is important to debrief the experience, process, and outcomes so that while fun is inevitable, learning is key!
